Who is the Black Bloc?
Leaders of the self-described leaderless Occupy Wall Street Movement in Oakland, California, have told NBC Bay Area that “anarchists” not associated with the group are responsible for the violence. About fifty or sixty black-clad activists wearing face bandanas attacked banks and trashed a Whole Foods Store.
Oakland police in riot gear reacted swiftly by invading the OWS main encampment and firing tear gas and projectiles at marchers who tried uncuccessfuly to pacify the Black Bloc. The vandalism in Oakland follows an established pattern. On numerous occasions, police have used "agents provocateurs" to discredit and destroy political movements. They typically wear the same black masks, black backpacks and black police boots.
In the 2011 Egyptian and Greece riots, government papers/police badges were found on persons who were caught inciting violence.
In 2009, so-called anarchists attacked banks during the G20 summit in London. The black bloc anarchist assault appeared to be stage-managed. Police participation in vandalism was revealed in 2007 during G20 protests at Montebello Quebec when a union leader caught and outed three masked undercover Quebec Provincial Police operatives dressed as anarchists.
Earlier this year, documents filed by the Joint Intelligence Group formed by the Integrated Security Unit of the RCMP revealed that various police services contributed at least 12 undercover officers to take part in covert surveillance of potential “criminal extremists” at the protest in a bid to “detect… and disrupt” any threats during the summit, according to CBC News.
In 2009, a video revealed police agents provocateurs mingling with protesters at the G20 summit in Pittsburgh.
OWS CAMP INFILTRATORS
In October, members of the OWS in Denver reported the presence of agents provocateurs at protests and attending group meetings.
The movement is easily infiltrated by these hired goons because anyone and everyone are welcomed as fellow citizens suffering under the tryranny of this economy. Blending in and becomeing part of the OWS is the easy part - then it is a matter of timing acts of violence like the violence at the Smithsonian. It could be accomplished with one sniper on a roof firing into the police contingent and then disappearing into the crowds. Once a policeman or security agent is wounded or killed, the Police turn to preservation mode and attack the unarmed crowd.
The best protection for the protesters is cameras, phones and videos documenting the actions of the outside agitators. If the real journalists were doing their jobs, the danger would subside. The modus operandi of governments all over the world is to send in the goons to stir up violence and justify their assaults on their own countrymen.

Peaceful OWS protesters are not afraid to show their faces. The protesters in black with masks cover up their identities. They don't want to be identified as government ops who are there to for one reason only - to undermine the movement by making it look violent.
