When Sirius appeared in the Egyptian sky each year, the Nile generally started to flood and bring fertility to the land. By association, Isis was worshipped as the goddess of fertility. The flood and the rising of Sirius also marked the ancient Egyptian New Year.
Ptolemy of Alexandria used Sirius as the location for the globe's central meridian in mapping the stars.
AFRICAN WITNESSES
The Dogon are a West African tribe who have known about, and worshipped, Sirius A and its twin for the past 5,000 years. Their ancient knowledge of the two stars' orbits coincides exactly with modern astronomical findings. They also claim there's a third star in the Sirius system that also revolves around Sirius A.
How did a people who lacked any kind of astronomical devices know so much about an invisible star? The star, which scientists call Sirius B, wasn't even photographed until 1970!
These ancient Dogon records speak of Jupiter's four moons and Saturn's rings and that Sirius B circles Sirius every fifty years and is made of a metal that is the heaviest thing in the universe. Astronomers have discovered that such an object (called "Sirius-B") does exist but only the most sophisticated and sensitive instruments that were unavailable, of course, to the Dogons can detect it.
BLUEBLOODS FROM SIRIUS?
The Dogon believe that approximately 5,000 years ago, Amphibious Gods, called Nommo, came to Earth in three legged space ships from the Sirius Star System. Dogons frequently describe the Nommo as having the upper body of a man and the lower body of a snake...and of having a ram’s head with a serpent body. These ancient aliens from Sirius were allegedly BLUE and their descendants are thought of as "bluebloods" or royalty.
The Dogon describe perfectly the DNA pattern made by the elliptical orbit created by the two stars of Sirius as they rotate around each other. They believe Sirius is the axis of the universe, and from it all matter and all souls are produced in a great spiral motion.
Robert K. G. Temple, author of The Sirius Mystery suggests that the Dogon people of Mali in west Africa, preserve a tradition of contact with intelligent extraterrestrial beings from the Sirius star-system.
The ancient Sumerians claim that serpent gods that they called the Annunaki provided them with advanced astronomical information. The Sumerians knew that the Earth and the planets rotated around the sun - not the other way around, which was the common belief until the 17th century. They also knew how many planets were in our solar system and the exact distance between the planets. Keep in mind that modern astronomers didn’t discover the planet Uranus until 1781, Neptune in 1846, and Pluto in 1930.
When it comes to tracing the ancient ET’s who interacted with humans, we see ghostly imprints among all cultures and in all societies. And these traces are still here with us today, hidden just behind the facade of mythology.
